odd evening
Tonight on a walk down to see the new outdoor sculpture being installed near our house I ran into a college friend and his soon to be wife. I haven't seen him in over a year and last I heard he was moving to the east side, so it was odd running into him.

Even odder, when we fiinally got down to the sculpture, there were 4 people standing around who than start moving it! Turns out one was the assistant to the artist and did 80% of the welding. The other guy is making a documentary on the artist. The other two were there various wives and/or girlfriends and/or female people along with them. We had one of the funniest and oddiest conversations I've had with total strangers.

The documentary maker and I started to talk about our local Gehry building, turns out this guy makes Frank Gehry bird houses! To make a long story short, the guy gave me his card and his website is way cool! The math songs, WunderKat Generator and Hearing the Weather are a must!

I guess this means I now need to go to the dedication on Saturday to tell the guy how cool his stuff is.
